Cheery Lynn Designs Pine and Poinsettia

For my Cheery Lynn Designs post today, I tried to get a bit artsy with my floral embellishment on this card.  But first, I started with a 5 x 7 inch green card stock base, adding a red patterned paper background.  To this I added a Musical Staff Mesh Border piece backed with more patterned paper and green card stock.  For my cute little Drummer Boy from Mo Manning, I used the center die from the new Madrid Flourishes Rectangle Boutique Stacker Frames, adding more patterned paper (all from Bo Bunny)

Now for my floral embellishment, I started with my Medium Lollipop Fringe Cutie winding it around wooden skewers.  Check out this tutorial post from Irina showing you how to do it.  Next I die cut some Cattails and Wheat Heads.  I doubled the paper on these so they would be thicker.  I added a bit of color with my Copic markers.  The last step was my flower created with my Poinsettia Strip; I used 2 large, 1 medium and 1 small petal folding the petals down the center score for some dimension.

Be sure to check out this week's Sparkle and Shine challenge for a chance to win a $20 shopping spree at Cheery Lynn Designs.

I just re-read your post and watched the video on making the green branches. Very clever. And I noticed you posted at 3 30 a.m. My kind of time. LOL Edna
