Cheery Lynn Designs Sweethearts Challenge

The challenge this week at Cheery Lynn Designs is Sweethearts.  I wanted to play with the new borders that Cheery Lynn released this month.  There are 3 dies in each set: an edger, one that inserts a pattern in your paper and a border.  Starting with a white folded A2 card base, 4.25 x 5.5 inches, I cut a matching piece of red card stock.  Using the new Deutschland Border set, I used the edger along the bottom, the insert pattern above it and then added a border piece in white above both of those.  Next I cut a piece of card stock 4 x 3.75 and used my Big Wicker die to add the embossed lines.   Using red card stock, I die cut the new Be my Valentine Heart and then added a hand trimmed white backing piece.

  The rectangle red panel behind the heart was created with the Deutschland Boutique Stacker A2 Frame set.  Using the matching A2 Frames Rectangle Classic set, I trimmed out the Deutschland pattern and added a white panel behind it.  The last step was to add some red gems.
